Illustration Story
A tribe from the end of the world, the «flower people» live in perfect harmony with nature and spirits on a remote island in Indonesia. The Anakita Sarong will charm art and travel lovers in the memory of Paul Gauguin and Jacques Brel. Sail on a traditional pirogue, discovering a land where women live a joyful and slow art of living where their natural environment, the forest, is one with them.
A note from the artist
Creating this print was much more than a simple act of drawing or painting. It was a total immersion in the spirit and soul of this enchanting tribe. I felt a mixture of emotions, from admiration for their intimate connection with nature to a deep fascination for their serene and poetic way of life. The colors and shapes I chose were a vibrant tribute to the beauty of their world, the richness of their traditions and the gentleness of their existence.
By wrapping your body in this sarong, I invite you to immerse yourself in this exotic, contemplative atmosphere. May you feel the deep connection with nature, the inner peace and joy that emanates from these "flower people". May this sarong become your link to this remote and mysterious tribe, a symbol of their inspiring way of life and a source of wonder for the art and travelling soul within you.
