NAGPUR SARONG
Our sarong is much more than a simple accessory, it's a truly wearable work of art that transports you to a mystical elsewhere.
Illustration Story
Have you ever been to India? When you’re there, you swear by the colourful sarees, the fragrance of flowers and a spectacle forever in motion. With this hand-painted illustration, the exoticism comes out of nowhere. Winter and autumn are forgotten. In Nagpur, Indian women bargain for flowers, incense and ingredients: freshly picked curry leaves, tamarind paste and juicy mangoes.
A note from the artist
Every detail of this illustration is a tribute to the cultural richness of India, a veritable kaleidoscope of sensations. I sought to capture the magic of India, to translate the bustle of the markets, the elegance of the saris and the flavor of the exotic ingredients.
Creating this print transported me to the very heart of India, where every moment is a celebration of beauty, color and diversity. The painterly strokes, vibrant hues and meticulous details are all testaments to my admiration for this vibrant culture.
