GOPALA SARONG PINK
Our sarong is much more than a simple accessory, it's a truly wearable work of art that transports you to a mystical elsewhere.
Illustration Story
The Beach Boys wrote and sang Kokomo, we illustrated it! Completely enchanted by this 80’s melody, Brescia drew what it inspired her: a hippie India of the 70’s, travellers in bell-bottom trousers in seek of exoticism and Hinduism. The sacred cow in the middle is protective, hence the name «Gopala» meaning «protective cow» in Sanskrit.
A note from the artist
The protective cow has been placed at the center of this composition to remind us that, despite our far-flung travels and exotic quests, we still need that feeling of protection and connection to our deepest essence. Music and art transport us to distant horizons and make us dream of new worlds to explore. This print is a tribute to the power of musical inspiration and the magic it can bring to our imagination when we create.
Lulled by the melodies of the Beach Boys and amazed by the exoticism of 70s hippie India, let yourself be carried away by this harmony between music, art and travel. Let this pareo become a symbol of freedom, creativity and escape, inspiring you to embrace the adventurous spirit within.
